These lawsuits claim that 3M knew that their combat earplugs were defective and were not long enough to effectively protect soldiers' hearing during combat. They knew this prior to selling them to the military. Lawsuits are being filed by veterans whose hearing was damaged or have been diagnosed with tinnitus.
